Hey there. Welcome to dance mobility journey. I am Nyla the owner and I’m so excited to move with you. This course is all about creating more freedom in your body, connecting with your breath, and discovering the strength that comes from softness.
Whether you’re a dancer, a creative or someone who wants to feel more open and aligned, you’re in the right place.
It’s also about energy, release, it’s about learning to trust your body again.
What is dance mobility? It’s a gentle clean of stretching, strength and intentional movement. Rooted in dance that helps improve flexibility, range of motion, and control.
Each week we will unlock different parts of the body, layer, and movement and give you space to express. Let’s start with a reset starting from the breath.
Allow your body to soften and your shoulders to drop. Place your right hand on your chest and left hand on your stomach and you’re going to inhale in one, two, three, four, five. Exhale, one, two, three, four, five.
Repeat that again. Let your thoughts pass like clouds without holding on to them and with every breath feel yourself becoming more present. Let’s do that two more times. Take a deep breath in and exhale slowly. Let your shoulders relax. Breathe in calm. Breathe out tension.
With each breath, feel yourself return to peace. You are safe. You are present. You are here.
Wonderful job! Now let’s give our shoulders some love, roll them forward towards the front and then we’re going to roll them backwards towards the back.
You wanna make sure the blood is circulating and that you feel good.
